The Project Management Skills class is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of project planning and management. Students will identify the features and attributes of a project, determine the actions involved in scope planning, and understand the components of time management. Students will engage in activities to plan and focus on a project, as well as define outcomes. This class is based on the generally accepted practices of project management recognized by the Project Management Institute, Inc. (PMI®). The course offers a standards-based approach to successful project management across application areas and industries. |

Project Server End User
Microsoft Project Server Project Server is a web- based page that displays the results of the Microsoft Project plan. Students will create a project in Microsoft Project, Publish to the Project Web Server, and display the project in a Web page. The web result can be modified and sent to the project manager for approval. It can also be available to anyone with the proper rights and used to update or status the progress of the assigned task. |

A successful Project Manager must simultaneously manage the following four basic elements of a project:
Resources - People, equipment, and material.
Time - Task durations, dependencies between tasks, length of meetings.

How do I become PMP Certified?
There are 3 basic requirements: Educational Background, Project Management Experience, and Project Management Education. If you have a BS degree, there are different requirements than if you have only a high school diploma. You will also need some actual project management experience and specific education related to project management.
